Qi Gong, qigong, chi kung, or chi gung are all variations on the spelling for what the Chinese translate literally as “Life Energy Cultivation”. It is one of the most practiced chi exercises practiced throughout the world. It involves a coordination of breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, healing, and meditation.
Qi gong’s roots are based in Traditional Chinese Medicine, martial arts, and philosophy. Today Qi gong is traditionally viewed as a practice to harness and balance qi (chi).
