We came across the Green Pea Pillow last week when searching for alternatives to man-made polyester filled pillows.
Traditional polyester filled pillows pollute the earth in numerous ways. First the production of polyester is one of the most toxic process on earth. It is harmful to the workers and the surrounding environment. Then the pillow is thrown away and ends up in a landfill when it is no longer of use. A negative double whammy for our planet.
The Green Pea Pillow on the other hand is made from 100% organic whole dried green peas (A+), and 100% organic cotton casing and cover (another A+). The pillow creator, Matt Harrigan, claims that he has used his pillow for 10 years and there is no sign of it wearing out. Even when it does the organic green peas and the 100% organic cotton can be composted and returned to the earth as nutrients not toxins. This is one interesting organic pillow that claims to help with neck support and snoring issues.
